That implies that there can be naps that aren't good. I do not think that is possible.

Can also do some really ugly things to modern solid-state electronics depending on how your house is configured.

I dunno, if I somehow fall asleep with my contacts in that's definitely not a good nap!

That happened to us several years ago when I live in MS. Lost a leg of power and it did some really goofy things. That was the time where CFL bulbs were still popular (LED's hadn't gotten mainstream yet) and we lost almost all of those. Lost some fluorescent ballast in the shop too.

Back in like 2018 living at the old house a company was trimming trees near my house and somehow a tree limb fell and crossed the lines. I lost every single surge protector in the house and it smelled like burning electronics for a while. Only other thing I lost was my radio in the garage.

Kind of depends if one is planning to take a nap versus falling asleep unplanned. If I drift off in the chair without my neck pillow I wake up crippled for 15 minutes.

Then there was the time I fell asleep on the throne at the garage... That nap definitely was not planned... :bananadead:

We had a lightning strike very close years ago, it frosted the CO detector, a surge suppressor on the microwave and oddly tripped the breaker for the dryer that wasn't running at the time. :notsure:

I actually scaled it back a bit lol. I think there are 22 pieces of wood in that thing! Lots of glue and screws too!

I'm trying to figure where peeps could shoot around here.

I circled the area I thought the shots were coming from.

Living in the country, I know the differences in fireworks and the differences in large and small caliber fire arm reports. I have no experience with the sounds of fire arms in an urban hilly area.

It's probably nothing, just a new experience for me.

I have to admit... there's a part of me that would love to put that in our 45 ton press at the shop and see where (or if) it would fail. I'm guessing that has to be good for >2 tons absolute minimum!
