Chasing down an intermittent misfire on cylinder #3 (& getting a CEL) and after pulling the code determined that the fuel injector is bad. Very possible, considering that my truck just turned 20 years old last month. Anyway, I just received a set of reconditioned injectors from MotorWest Performance but I neglected to shop for a set of injector cups/holders/spacers whatever they're called...totally my fault. I looked at some online oem parts dealers but oddly all I'm finding are the parts for the inline 4, which look to have a different pt. #. Does anyone have the correct # or source for the oem cups I need for my V6? How about the aftermarket offerings from places such as Yota1?

~~If they didn't come with any cups you should contact them and let them know. They should come with everything.~~

Edit: I misunderstood what part you meant. I don't think the 3.4L has cups. I seem to remember the injectors going straight into the aluminum intake when I replaced mine.

Yeah they dont give you cups at motorwest.........other than the injector and connectors....they dont sell anything else for these.....

Same here....I could only find cups for the 4's....

Those cups dont wear out......only if they get cracked or damaged in some way....
I dont know of anybody that replaced them for reg maintenance....
only when someone's put on a new head(s)......

I watched Timmy's video again and screenshot a couple of frames. Looks like the V6 doesn't use the cups at all and the injectors are sealed against the cylinder heads with thick rubber cushions (similar to some EFI motorcycles I've worked on).

Yeah the 5VZ uses air assisted pintles on their injectors and that secondary seal is required to seal off the air assist chamber.

Injectors swapped out, there were no cups. Cleaned out the recesses and got the job done with no issues.
