    Hi all,

I'm here hoping to see if anyone else had this issue. I went to a local mechanic shop and had my King shocks installed.. once they were installed, I received a phone call from the mechanic who told me a bunch of warning lights were on in the truck and asked if I'd ever had those warning lights on before. He said he noticed these lights when he got into my truck for the first time before the install.

When he told me this, I immediately grew suspicious. The warnings lights that were light up were: ABS, skid control, brake, and wheel tire sensor. My 4 wheel drive and cruise control don't work now which sucks!!

I went to another mechanic who scanned it and said something was going on with the rear left wheel sensor. We got the sensor replaced with 0 progress. The mechanic also said the harness measured working just fine.. I'm hurting for my 4 wheel drive and cruise control. This girl needs help!!!!!!!

Check the front wheel speed sensor wires, make sure they’re not left disconnected, stretched, or broken.

First mechanic might have accidentally stretched/pulled the abs wires contacts loose. Happens when they are not adept of what they’re doing or just cutting corners on the proper way of doing things . Hope you get this sorted out. He should be on the hook for this

Suspicious. Was all they were working on was the front coil overs? What about the rear?

It would be interesting to determine how the 4x4 and cruse was messed up by a suspension upgrade.

Wheel sensor issue. Its been known to happen during suspension installs when wires get stretched.

Your first mechanic is being a dishonest weasel that doesn't want to own his fuckup. Sorry.

    This!
I’m sure OP would notice those lights before dropping it off, him asking just confirms it.
OP you should get a repair estimate and take it to the initial shop to see how they want to handle fixing their F up.

So I took the Taco into a local mechanic where I'm visiting and THEY FOUND THE PROBLEM!

Mechanic said the wire at the main harness connector that connects to the rear ABS harness, was ripped. He was miraculously able to solder it back and make the ABS work for now.. I have no warning lights on my dash now!!

As for the mechanic who did my install, he admitted he wasn't forthcoming about telling me about the ABS issues right away as he wanted to figure out what the problem was, such as errors after an install.. he still didn't think he ripped the wire since he said he unplugged it. He's reimbursing me a new harness. Thanks all for the input.

I goofed up a suspension install for a friend by forgetting to unbolt the front harness from the UCA. And, did similar to myself when swapping body mounts because I missed the fastener on top of the coilover mount. Both times, it only shot up the ABS light. Nothing else. A wire separated and was actually easy to fix with a butt splice. The light immediately went away.

All those other lights has me thinking it isn't just a wheel harness?

Oops. I saw your update. Ignore the above drivel.
