    I agree the only things causing the light to come on can be switch. can they be bypassed to prove it out?

    Before you bleed the brake lines and refill (which you may have to do anyway given the number of miles on the truck), do you have any play in your e brake handle? Meaning when you disengage the handle, can you still push it in a little ways after it the brake handle is disengaged and in its resting position? If so, that is the problem I had and when I hit bumps or accelerated the brake light would come on, push e brake handle and it would go off. That is a spring problem which is not disengaging the e brake the entire way and will kick the brake light on.

    i suggest checking the switch thats connected to the e brake handle first before you tear in to your rig

    figured it out it was the switch the plastic plunger was wearing out it had side to side play so it still worked it was just cocking from side to side.
