If anyone is into mountain biking this may be interesting. Otherwise not much to see here.

Goal for this truck is to take me anywhere I want to ride my bike, shuttle me and my friends and camp when necessary.

Pics of the day I brought it home

Second day of ownership. Confirmed it will take a bike to the trails.

Found a used Decked system somewhat local. Went and picked it up, got it home and a bunch of hardware was missing so in it's current state it is "installed" but I'm debating weather to reach out to decked for the missing hardware or waiting to see if it just works the way it is.

As you can see the factory decked mounting brackets were missing so I followed @Malisko and just used two turnbuckles.

Here's the system all loaded up.

Small drawer is dedicated mostly to bike related parts and tools along with 2 camping chairs.

Large drawer is misc overflow of tools and camping gear.

The AC outlet is temporary, It's a placeholder until and get some other things figured out and make a more permanent panel of some sort to hold it along with some lighting switches and possible an air chuck from the compressor. but for now.. it ain't pretty but it works "function over form?"

Got home from work to see a package from decked. Installed their core trax system and did a test fit with the cooler. Tie down straps are in the mail system somewhere. Looks good gives me room on each side for longer items like my gazelle tent and a bike stand.

Hey Thanks man, Love that bike so much. This Pa weather has been a nightmare for riding this year, haven't been out since I took that picture weeks ago.

Got a chance to take the truck camping for the first time this past weekend. Weather hasn't been great for biking yet this year but eventually these trips will include them. Either way it was good to get out in the woods.

Come out to Santa Cruz, stop by and say “thanks” to the Ibis folks for your Ripmo, and ride some great trails that start 10 minutes (by bike) away from Ibis HQ. Weather is perfect right now. And for Santa Cruz Bicycles fans, their HQ and demo center is just 5 minutes from Ibis. Not to mention some great brew pubs … I ride a SC Tallboy and my wife has a Ripley so we are equal opportunity supporters of the local bike companies.

Girlfriend has a 5010, could stop in and see where they both came from. It's on the long, long, very long list of places to visit. This year unfortunately is already booked up. Colorado and Asheville are the two big trips this year to bike. Maybe next year.

Got a bunch of stuff done over the last few weeks.

Installed the ARB Twin air compressor in the back right ammo can of the Decked system with the switch and the chuck all right there. Still need to figure out a perminant solution for the AC outlet but everything works and plays well with each other for right now.

Also got my Snailarmor tailgate installed. That's a custom etch of my recently passed dog Patches. He was my main adventure buddy and I wanted something to remind me of him when I'm out exploring in the new truck.

Spent the weekend in my hometown for a buddy's annual summer party.

DIY tarp awning hung in there with no maintenance the entire weekend. It gets pretty windy in the corner where I was setup and we had a little bit of rain. For $50 It's not full time overland worthy but it's worth having in the truck until I figure out a more permanent solution.

Oh yeah, I follow that thread, This year has been a disappointing start to MTB season for me so not much to add at the moment but a trip to Co, and Asheville should make up for lost time in the near future.

    Thank you

Got sick of the predator steps recently and decided to make them at least look okay until a full set of sliders were on the truck.

Hacked them off with the grinder, smoothed them out and ended up painting the entire thing with some spray can textured automotive paint.

Took the truck on a quick weekend camping trip down to Seneca rocks WV over the weekend.

Truck didn't see too much dirt besides some gravel parking lots but I sure did.

Did some more exploration in WV a few weekends ago with a group from Pittsburgh. We had a blast and I realized I needed to pull the trigger on a new suspension setup. So that is currently ordered and I'm patiently waiting on parts to arrive.

Found a local used RSI smartcap recently so I jumped on it. Sold the Bestop Softopper as well to help fund it. Haven't had much time to get it out and use it yet but I already love the side doors for easy access to the bed.

Parts arriving for the new suspension upgrade have also started to accumulate. Waiting on #650 springs and the 5160's for the rear and we should be good to go for installation.
