What size are they? I like a thiccc tire, 2.6 up front and down to a mere 2.4 on the rear (old bike had 2.6 front and rear).

Those are 3.0, and yea I too normally run stighly wider up front. These will be going on my hardtail, so a little extra rubber in the rear isn’t a bad thing.

conquered, however I didn’t hit the step up. My first attempt at the drop there’s a girl laying on the step up like this.

She cased it and broke that bad boy.

It’s intimidating, but very smooth drop.

My mud bike is creaking so it was time for a clean. Evil bikes main pivots are prone to creaking once mud gets into the main bearing washers. It’s a lot of parts for a single pivot.

Pro-tip: Ratchet straps are a great way to hold the crank during removal.

I bought a few tires from Spec earlier in the fall. Purgatory and Butcher - however I feel they are a little narrower than the original tires that came with the Stumpy. They just look a bit narrower, not much, but maybe its just my eyes.

However, man I love these tires! They have been great. I just switched out the rear tire because I had what I believe was a pinch flat on the side wall really close to the wheel. Couldn’t get it to plug with a few strips, so swapped it out after 1100 miles. The front tire is still original and looks great. So left it on at this point. But I should probably order a few more just to have as back up!

And, guess what I saw from pivot. That dang 20% off SRAM build bikes….and Competitive Cyclist has one in my size, color and build! Damn it!!!! And my wife just asked if that’s what I want for Christmas!!!!! Only issue, nowhere near me to go ride one! Three hours away where my daughter goes to school - they have a large but it’s a Shimano build. I guess I could ask them to match??? And go ride it and buy. But……

    :)

Loam conditions are rare in the Southeast. Today was one of those days. The roots were a little slick though.

Just finished up the new gravel build this week! Why R+ V4 frame, Force AXS XPLR group, AXS XPLR dropper, and some Enve bits to round out the build. The 5DEV cranks are nifty, but there is a fair about of torsional flex between the cranks and the BB/CS/DT junction on the bike - may have to go back to Force to see how much of a difference that makes.

And today we hit the jump line at the top. Biggest jumps I’ve ever hit.

Progression will be made if you find a good riding group to tag with at Windrock.

    I’m stoked.

I dug out the gravel bike to see if IpYTukkEQe547gq1ZJOILl1qVKY4Zl_8bqNuvkguYmLI-2048x1536.jpg can get in some kind of shape other than round.

Just found this thread. This is my Felt Broam 30. Love riding up in Vermont.
    IMG_7379.jpg IMG_7631.jpg

Question for camper/cap owners. how do you carry your bike? I used to have a fork mount rack on top of my Jeep. I ended up buying a kuat Dirtbag fork mount to mount perpendicular in my bed with the tonneau cover open, but now that I'm getting a cap, the fork mount wont work on the bed rails due to the height. I don't really want to buy a hitch mount rack, but I guess I can if that's the only option. something off the side of the cap would be cool, similar to this.
