    There's this little thing called reciprocity, more specifically lack thereof.
    I don't dare have a handgun in my truck if passing through Maryland, that's asking for big trouble.
    They don't recognize PA permits, and I believe Jersey is even worse.

    No problem with a cased long gun, and I shot in many matches in Maryland.
    Maybe it would be okay if your handgun was unloaded and in a locked case, I dunno. :notsure:

    Anyway, you see the problem.
    Crossing state lines with a handgun is a potential nightmare.
