Recently I’ve noticed after turning off the engine I hear a drip and then sizzle sound. Usually 2 drips in a row, then a 3 min pause and it does it again. I found where it’s dripping from - see photo. That little silver tube on the passenger side firewall which I’m sure is a condensation valve. My question is, should there me a drain hose connected to that metal hose? I’ve never noticed the sound before and recently had the starter replaced which is in the same area so I’m wondering if it got removed in that process. I just don’t think water and metal over time is a good combination. Let me know what you all think.

So that hose likely got shifted around recently aiming it directly over your exhaust. You can attached a hose clamp and rubber hose so it will drip below the frame.

Only issue I've had was at some point something clogged the hose. So my weather tech floor mat on the passenger side had become a small pond.

That would make sense. I’ll get under there and adjust the angle and then add some high heat hose to direct it further away. Much appreciated.
