Oooo, Rector-Seal! One of my favourite pipe compounds. Looks like they used tape and dope to ensure no leaks. Those guys get a thumbs up from me!

 

Coming back tomorrow to level tank, reposition and secure piping , and clean up…..

 

Install looks pretty good, except the PEX on the water heater and furnace relief valve would not pass inspection around here. Has to be copper.

But, I get that. Looks like that guy is a pro-press Queen, guess soldering copper is a lost art anymore. I'm way too picky for my own good. But that install is nice an clean. My boiler setup looks like a Windows 98 screen saver. I've cut out several feet of copper and re-done the water lines as well. Like I said, too picky for my own good...

 

Very tight install in places so the squeeze a matic was the safer choice anyway..

 

Yea I almost lit one of my floor joist on fire the last time I soldered
