    But for real it’s a really yummy bottle. Mine got to about half empty and I got another one to have ready to go. When open it you will enjoy.

    Lol. I've read some really ridiculous reviews. So ridiculous, I'm sure they were deliberate so.

    Actual reviews;

    I think they left out the pickle juice notes on this one;

    Can’t wait! Well, I will have to, at least a little while…

    I love the over the top intentionally ridiculous reviews. I hate the ones that take themselves seriously though.

    I would like a super vague sliding scale myself. Just a visual analog with "Buy at any cost" at one end and "Give to people you hate at Christmas" at the other end.

    Nose is smoky, palate is sweet with immediate bite. Not smooth, you know you’re drinking a higher proof immediately. Finish is spicy.

    Wait, you said absurdly fancy. Hang on, I got this. Second draft:

    Upon opening this intricately decorated bottle, a smoky olfactory sensation invites you in for a closer investigatory whiff. Hints of cigar and ethanol provide an overture for the taste to come. On the palate, this libation is a pleasing blend of unsoured fruit who’s exact botanical identity is difficult to deduce as it’s immediately shrouded by the bite of unfiltered delectability. The finish provides a spicy mouth experience, less peppery and more peppermint.
    Haha, I wouldn’t share with people I hate but I also wouldn’t share with people who don’t appreciate different bourbon. I could see newcomer drowning it in ice or Coke.

    I paid around $70, for the price and what it is I’d still go with the JDSBBP but it’s a nice change from the ordinary.

    Saw a few bottles of the Penelope stuff you guys were talking about if anyone needs one. Four Grain barrel strength (reddish label) was like $65, toasted $69, regular $60 and they had a black label barrel strength but I didn’t see a price tag…

    Haven't had Legent for a years now.
    I remember opening it and genuinely enjoying the mix up between the mix between Japanese and American influences.
    I also remember revisiting it some time later and thinking it lost all it had going to it. I don't think I was alone on that either.
    If you open it, drink it fast

    Japanese Whisky lovers of this thread: I apologize. I paid $125 each at my local state store.

    Buy it.

    Per TJ employee, the rumor is it’s a Buffalo Trace product. Grabbed a bottle and, for 14.99, will probably buy a case next time.

    Cracked it open yet? We got a bottle. If it’s good, I’ll grab another bottle or three
