I love the over the top intentionally ridiculous reviews. I hate the ones that take themselves seriously though.

 

I would like a super vague sliding scale myself. Just a visual analog with "Buy at any cost" at one end and "Give to people you hate at Christmas" at the other end.

 

Nose is smoky, palate is sweet with immediate bite. Not smooth, you know you’re drinking a higher proof immediately. Finish is spicy.

Haha, I wouldn’t share with people I hate but I also wouldn’t share with people who don’t appreciate different bourbon. I could see newcomer drowning it in ice or Coke.

I paid around $70, for the price and what it is I’d still go with the JDSBBP but it’s a nice change from the ordinary.

Saw a few bottles of the Penelope stuff you guys were talking about if anyone needs one. Four Grain barrel strength (reddish label) was like $65, toasted $69, regular $60 and they had a black label barrel strength but I didn’t see a price tag…

 

Haven't had Legent for a years now.
I remember opening it and genuinely enjoying the mix up between the mix between Japanese and American influences.
I also remember revisiting it some time later and thinking it lost all it had going to it. I don't think I was alone on that either.
