After a reassembly, I am finding a loose, uncoupled what looks like a grounding O connector on the right side of the engine near the power steering pump, oil dipstick tube and exhaust manifold. Circled red, I cannot find its grounding point anywhere around. Anyone?

I suspect this may be the reason why the engine won't start and is giving me a 4WD/4LO flashing light. The battery is fine at around 12.5V and even jump starting won't do anything.

Looks like it would be Ground Point EC, just ground it to the engine block at whatever bolt is close enough.
I don't think that's your issue though as all it grounds is the noise filter for the ignition, if your 4wd light is flashing and it's not starting I'd suspect you missed one or more of the grounds at EE.

thanks. if those are the two grounding terminals at the back of the right cylinder head, I am sure I connected them but I will double check with my borescope

Yea that's them but there are multiple wires going to them so perhaps you missed one or a wire got broken.

the mystery is that no bolt is/looks reachable by the wire branch it terminates

that is remotely possible but highly unlikely

I'd get you a picture but 2014 doesn't appear to use Ground Point EC.

Well an open ground at EE would match your symptoms, it feeds the 4wd system, PCM, & ignition coils among other things.
    Will the engine crank over?

It bolts to the pump itself, then to the top of the frame channel forward of the shock tower.(I'm pretty sure)

The only time I've touched that ground is to do a frame swap.

Unlikely the cause, but it certainly doesn't hurt.

Is your main block ground from the battery connected and in good condition?

you mean P/S pump? I can't see a bolt in the back of the pump where it would go to. that's about as far as the wire is going to reach

    what is that?

There should be a main block ground (fat cable) either from the block to the frame or from the block to the battery.

I can't remember disconnecting any wires from the block itself, the closest to it was the two differential connectors when I was taking the upper oil pan off

    Well check your block ground.
Get a voltmeter set to volts DC, connect the negative to the negative battery terminal and touch the positive to a metal part of the engine. Key on if it reads more than 0.5v you have a bad block ground.
If you have a jumper cable you could just do a quick bypass test by connecting one end of the negative to the negative battery terminal and the other end to a metal part of the engine.

Not 100% sure, it seems like it's down near the starter but don't quote me on that.

definitely wasn't messing around that area, the closest was the left side exhaust manifold

Yes, the ps pump has a 10mm bolt that connects that ground to it. It may be missing.

Follow that ground strap back and youll find the other point.

The other point is not an issue -- I need the point (on the pump?) where to connect this O terminal.
