Now don't go mixing reality into this rather interesting thread!

You mean like all the oil and other "bad" energy products used to produce that oh so holy EV that is supposed to save the world?

I predict someone in this thread is going to get a suspension for talking about politics.

I thought we were talking about energy.

Only if somebody wants to wander off that cliff. This is just about energy, cleanliness, and feasibility. No politics here.

I’m just giving a friendly warning. I know you can get a suspension for merely mentioning the name of a politician in a joke.

I think it’s unfortunate that talking about certain engineering problems can become so political.

Greener to produce (eventually en masse and currently). Much smaller carbon footprint. Safer than gas or EV batteries.

Strip mining lithium is more green than truck and shovel mining oil sands because it only happens in third world countries.

When filling up my Hydro Tacoma I prefer Fuji water. Nothing but the best.

Of course, the bottle looks nice, and it is exotic. How you peasants would fill your hydro Tacoma with anything else is beyond me
When I need more HP I go with Perrier.

So this is less of a Toyota thing and more of a Japanese master plan. They are in the midst of creating nuclear power that will generate green hydrogen. And they plan to power industrial processes with it as well. Basically the only country with a real plan to go green. Electric cars are not a gimmick, but a little

It’s kinda meh, honestly. Strip it if it’s context and the way people lionize it, and you get a fairly marginal SF novel. But some people like that!

Okay, back to ((checks notes)) hydrogen Tacomas!

Honestly, that's the general feeling I have when I read any classics. I've never enjoyed them or thought they were great reads. But I'm one of the fat complacent ones who just wants to read for entertainment anyway. :D

God, Moby-Dick is so metal though. Highly recommended.

TBH, most of the classics use the story as a vehicle to convey the real message they are trying to portray. If that makes any sense at all... lol

For sure. I'd just rather read something like The Death Gate Cycle, LOTR, etc. than anything like Shakespeare, To Kill a Mockingbird, 1984, etc. Same goes for movies. It's escapism for me, so if you have some deep special/social message that you're going to be all heavy handed about, I'm not generally your target audience.
