This is the opposite of reality. You can't seriously think that it's easier to move and store the smallest molecule in the world than it is to move electricity around
Natural gas is used as fuel in a boiler to power the SMR (steam methane reformer) that breaks natural gas into h2, co, and co2, not electricity

Getting back on topic here, I'll add that I think h2 passenger vehicles are not a viable technology in the near future.

H2 is extremely scarce and nearly all of it is currently used in refineries and chemicals manufacturing (mostly fertilizer). The very limited supply of H2 coming into the market, whether grey, green, or blue, in the near term, would be most effectively utilized in other hard-to-decarbonize industrial sectors like steel and cement. Other options to best use our limited H2 resources are things like heavy equipment, light aircraft, and public transportation.

There are issues with production, transportation, storage and delivery on the consumer side that make H2 a far off dream when it comes to passenger vehicles

Maybe talk to him about it privately instead of in this thread?

    Time will tell.

But there is actually a log of why and when you were banned.
Evidently you didn’t do your part in finding out why you were banned.
There’s a place to ask just that question.

Depends on the passenger vehicle. I'd rather a hydrogen fuel cell truck than BEV for towing my trailer. But I agree that heavy hauling is more important than what I'm doing.

I don’t know much about hydrogen.
If the Toyota engine works like the BMW, it’s not for me.

The issue isn't with H2 fuel cells, those work fine - the issue is with the H2 itself.

Also anyone using diesel fuel is already part of the hydrogen economy. H2 is used to reduce the sulfur content of diesel fuel

Thanks for that, I only assumed why I got that ban hammer based on a picture that was deleted when I was banned. I never found any explanation, nor knew, until now, how to find that out.

I’d have to do some research.
I’m just barely grasping the concept of pure EV.
I’m not sure my brain is ready for H2 yet.

Another major problem with hydrogen internal combustion engines is the challenge of storing enough fuel on the car. The video I posted goes into detail about this. With current technology, a hydrogen internal combustion engine is no more than a toy for the rich and famous.

I worked for a company that was designing and building hydrogen reformers for automobile use. After digging into the numbers I presented the results to the CEO and we dissolved the company within 8 months. The cost of the catalyst was the largest hurdle. No infrastructure in place either. Forget about it.

I work with a lot of bulk H2 at work for cooling.

Watching some videos of the fueling stations in CA, pretty cool but definitely not cost effective yet (cost of station).

Some of the problems have already been alluded to in this thread. Those and others are:

99% of H2 produced today is done by reforming natural gas into its constituent elements. It's the world's smallest molecule and extremely difficult to contain in its gaseous form. It takes more energy to produce than the resultant hydrogen product itself contains. Shipping hydrogen requires either taking it to -253c to liquify it, or by converting it to ammonia and shipping that slightly-less-volitile product with the additional step of converting it back to hydrogen at its destination (if it's not being utilized as fertilizer).

There are others but I'll stop there

Not so sure about that, but I suppose it's possible. I think an alternative reagent is used for desulfurization of gasoline
