I just bought my 1st Tacoma; 23 TRD Off Road, dark gray, basic tech package. I am a big fan of preventative maintenance and making things last and I am excited to join the group. I was active on The Ranger Station for years when I owned my first truck a 96 Ford Ranger XLT 4.0L V6 which I had for over 10 Years from 2006-2017. I am hoping to own this one longer.
I have only been active on the forumn for a day but it has already answered many questions.
My intentions straightaway are all cosmetic, simple things like glove box divider, and center console storage, seat covers, ETC I also would like to replace the stock speakers soon.

Interior LED Lights: from the forums I have read many people like the MESO lights, which i do like but am looking more for a light blue color. I have used a website to identify what type of LED bulbs sizes I should use which have stated DE3021 for the Dome light and 921's for the Cargo Light. I wrote extensively on The Ranger Station on LED replacements and did my gauge cluster on my Ranger and Civic in blue LED's.
    AC Drain Mod: Completed
    Tailgate Clamp: Completed

I look forward to posting and possibly contributing (at least some sarcastic remarks)

The dealer is recommending at 5k. I am new to the new car game, after coming from owning 2 20 yo cars and changing oil every 3k miles though this seems to be the standard now. Should I be expecting/asking the Differential or any other fluids at that point as well?

Welcome. Nice rig! Just a heads up. Some suggest to disconnect the battery to do anything electrical on these trucks. Even changing the interior bubs. I was surprised by that. I also enjoy keeping my vehicles a long time and maintaining them well. Brand new 1992 Toyota 4X4 for 14 years then a 2003 Nissan Pathfinder for 15 years and now my current Tacoma. OCI are a instant argument around here. Having said that, 0W20 full synthetic was new to me. I settled at 5K OCI not 10. That's just me. I'm in for the long haul.

Yeah, I agree with 5k for synthetic, I would not be comfortable with 10k mile oil changes

Beautiful truck. I really love the dark grey.

I was reading that about disconnecting the battery for bulb changes. Is that due to them bieng CAN bulbs?

I like those, kit is resonably priced. Are you running these on your tacoma?

Welcome & congrats! Nice looking truck!

I've owned 3 Rangers (1988,1996,2008), before I got my Tacoma.
    Glad I switched.

Loved my 96, great truck. Couldn't see buying a new model Ranger though.
