Cheap mods you are proud of

That's honestly awesome. They look cool too. Late Mod of the Year contender?

 

Those pads that you put between the seat and center console to stop things that fall out of your pocket into a black hole. That's probably my favorite cheap mod.

Not as bad as you'd expect, just need to figure out a way to tie it off on both ends since it's just a single zig zag the whole way down. Pretty easy once you figure out the hang of it using a curved sewing needle. After tying it on both ends I put a few drops of gorilla glue. So far so good. I had to buy like 9000 ft of thread so if you want some I can drop some in the mail. There's a little bit more details in my thread here.

 

My $12 footwell lights really bright and wired to come on off when I open/close door. 2 lights on each side front. I don’t even use dome lights anymore.

I’m thinking about buying one of the knock off TRD pro knobs and doing this. I ain’t gonna spend $100 on a shift knob. $30 is reasonable.

 

Walmart plastic checkout bag hung from the glove compartment door for a trash bag. Sorry no pictures but you get the idea.

 

I took the badges and decals off without messing up the paint -- sounds silly but I was super nervous about it.

 

These little license plate lights. They were about 10 bucks and super easy to install. The Body Armor Desert series bumper had many negative reviews and some reviewers "had to return the bumper" because it didn't come with a license plate light.

I love my Rav4 knobs - this is honestly one of my favorite upgrades. Big thanks to whomever originally figured out that you can use the Rav4 knobs.

$50 Motorola MA1 , The Only Google Authorized Wireless Android Auto Car Adapter, Smartphone to Screen Wireless Bridge Car Accessories, USB Type-A

Motorola MA1 Wireless Android Auto dongle out of my wife's Subaru, and installed it in the truck. She never used it anyway, only me when I wasn't driving the Jeep.

So I need directions to get from place to place, and I also like being able to ask the Google Assistant questions, listen to music or a podcast... take or make a call, send a text message, etc all hands free. So - I'm not using the NAV in the Head Unit of the truck, and I'm not listening to SirusXM, so I'm actually saving money without those subscriptions!
