I was wondering if anyone knows any mounts to mount two diode dynamics ss3 behind the grille of my Tacoma. I was looking at the mount from bay area fabrication, but after emailing Jerry, he said that I would have to drill, and I do not want to do that. I also saw these mounts,
I also thought of making a mount using the holes on the grille support pictured below. Let me know your thoughts and or solutions. Thanks

Are you trying to achieve something like this? If so, I’ll take photos in the morning and show you what I did.

(zoomed in to show the lights behind the grille..)

Was thinking about mounting them up high, but I like the look of them being low. I would love so see how you mounted them

I actually have a smaller bar behind the TSS, which I had before this grille, and now with this grille it gets in the way lol. So I don’t even turn it on.

Anyway, you can get them higher on the grille, but you run into a few logistical issues.

I found that wiring can be a bit tricky to hide, and there isn’t a great deal of structure / attach points that don’t otherwise contribute to obstruction. Well, in the event you need to tinker with the radiator or trans-cooler. Still doable though.

I’ll upload some tomorrow for you.

    Stock-ish
Probably the only photo I have, but I just bolted pods to a couple of the stock bolt holes. I think the driver side one was one of the horn bolts.
