I've been looking high and low for replacement bulbs for my 2013's fogs that match the DRLs, everything is amber-yellow. What I found that did match perfectly, were LaminX's films. Super easy, cheap, they're peel and stick. They look great at night, but the downside is that during the day, you've got orange fogs when they're off. All in all it doesn't look terrible.

About a month ago they started burning up.

They lasted about a year and a half.. and to be fair, I sent a single email to LaminX and they sent me replacement films no questions asked. Great customer service.

But I'm hesitant to put another set of films on if they're just going to burn up. For the life of me, I can't find a bulb to replace the OEM's that match the DRL. Lowest K in LED I see is 3000 and correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that's way too yellow. Don't even think they make an OEM style bulb that matches..

So I've come to the lighting forum. The experts. What are my options?

There are no replacement fog bulbs that will match amber DRL output. KC G4 amber SAE LED fog assemblies will match almost perfectly, but are no longer produced. You might be able to find some in the marketplace, second hand etc. However, amber is a poor color for fogs, selective yellow (while not matching) is far superior in performance and visibility. Fogs should only be run in actual fog, so worrying about matching your DRLs should be a non-issue.

What is more important to you, matching the color of your DRL's or performance? Are you worried about what color the fogs appear to be when they're off?
