I'm looking into buying a new Trd Pro and if so then adding the Wescott lift to bring it up to 3 inches and then buying 33s to put on factory wheels. Does anybody know If I would have to cut my fenders and bumper to run these tires? Are the factory Pro UCA's camber adjustable? I appreciate any input or ideas you guys have on this. Thanks

I just got a 2023 TRD Pro and plan on doing the same thing, but I have seen some cases where 33's on the stock wheels are rubbing the new red UCA's are full lock and rubbing the finish off. If anyone could confirm that would help us both! If that is the case, then might have to get new wheels as well to make it work.

Westcott Designs website says that you would not need a CMC but at the same time... if we have to run a wheel with more negative offset to avoid rubbing the UCA with a 33.. it may push the tire closer to the cab mount when the wheel is locked. waiting to find some one on stock wheels with 33's with a 2022/23 Pro to see if it is actually an issue.

I don't want to pay $53,000 and then have to buy new wheels, new adjustable UCA's and then cut the fenders and bumper.

Might be getting too old for this.
33s on just about any 3" or smaller suspension will rub somewhere on a unmodified Tacoma, including the Pro, once you really stuff those wheels. Cutting is almost certainly necessary. Some folks will say otherwise, but they haven't really tested that articulation.

However, if you spend all your time on well paved roads with the occasional logger, you will be fine.

i'm probably going to keep it stock for as long as i can. I had 35's and 5.29s on my last truck and miss that, but I think im going to enjoy the stock form while its still so new... but I know deep down its only a matter of time before the blades come out:rofl:

I've had urges over the years but I am happy with stock. At close to 50k miles I still have the OEM Goodyears, even though I was ready for them to die so I can replace. I say was ready because I'm going to upsize to a Tundra next month and I'm not giving the dealer new tires. I might put the new approved TRD lift on once those tires die but only because Toyota has approved the kit. Jury is out on that one.

Ncousins 1 yeah not a bad idea....I wonder if 285/70R16s would eliminate some of the rubbing?

its definitely possible. Once i got my truck though I was so excited and it looked so good my desire to do any inital changes with the tires kinda went out the window. Just small accessory stuff here and there for now. Gonna save the big stuff for down the road and wear out the brand new tires first

You could do tall skinny's. Also, if you sell your UCA, I'll take them!

I guess it was actually an irrelevant story. I was speaking along the lines of the next tire size up:oops:

I bought this truck specifically because I wanted a great out of the box truck (to heck with the TRD Pro naysayers). If it was not a Pro, my original story stands, haha.

My 2010 was a DIY job with Fox remote reservoirs, a winch bumper, and everything. I just got tired of pulling out the old box knife or hammer every time I took it off road.

To OP, 255/85 pizza cutters are a great choice if you want the lift for the function. Too skinny IMO for looks.

    A few.
Very few tires made in that size. The first number is the width so it wouldnt make a difference
