I'm looking to replace LBJ for my "New to Me" 1995.5 Tacoma 4 cylinder, 5 Speed, 2.4 engine. Runs amazing for so many miles. (It has 300k miles). It has been my daily driver for the last 2 months. Not wanting to make any mods. Just keeping it as close to original as possible. Just don't know if they were ever changed. The original owner, took it to the dealer for all its maintenance, but I found no record of this particular part.
Since I've been part of this forum, I've noticed many LBJ failures and just want to start from scratch when it comes to the LBJ.
Who has the best LBJ at a reasonable price? I appreciate any assistance. 20221201_174423.jpg 20221201_100533.jpg 20221111_104407.jpg 20221111_105139.jpg

I would only replace them with oem.

No if toyota came out with toilet paper I wouldn't be interested in that either...
butt dont think thats the consensus here.....

I favor the Napa premium chassis parts.....think they are better design made with more modern materials....
Not cheap....but they have online deals/discounts all the time.....

If your a 4x4......I'd stick with oem.......your gonna have to get used to hemorrhaging money anyways....

Gentlemen, my 95' is a 2WD and will only see pavement and some light duty "Honey-do-list"
I have another vehicle if the need arises to go off road 4X4.

I tend to buy either MOOG or Raybestos front end linkage parts. Good truck, I bought my 94 toyota pickup new (last year before the first Taco) and drove it for 12 years and 220k miles, until the body got beat up and the transmission started popping out of gear. The tie rod end looks bad, how much play is in the lower ball joint?

Minimal play. I'll be changing out the tie rods as well. My brother, who's much more mechanically inclined will be guiding me.

I'd like to have all the parts I need before he arrives for Christmas. He's coming to Texas from California.

Pickle fork and a short, heavy hammer. I bought the pickle fork kit that goes on a .404 air chisel. As I age, my shoulders can't take the abuse.

I miss my $800 95.5. Yours looks nice.
I replaced mine with factory, being 2wd it was easy.

I have no need for Turbo. To work and back. Keeping it washed, waxed, and gassed up. Simple. Don't get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoy the photos of those who have taken their Tacos to another level. 20221201_093132.jpg
