Shelf in Glovebox

Anyone know the part number for the 16/17 shelf? I’d like to keep it OEM.
item #4, Molding - Toyota (55312-04010-C0)?

 

No cover, no shelf in my 2019. I bought the shelf off of Amazon and it works great (pretty inexpensive, too). I don't need a cover for the manual. It fits on the shelf better, that way.

 

Anyone with an Amazon glovebox shelf have the dimensions available? I’m looking to make one out of thin plywood I have in my shop. Measuring that glovebox is a bitch.

better yet- can you trace it onto paper and mail it or email me a scan? I don’t want a support above or below it- just a shelf.

I mocked one up with construction paper and had TAP Plastics cut one out of ABS. Very similar to the Amazon set up but no vertical divider just the shelf. Cost me 10 bux

 

you guys got a case for your manuals? mine were just haphazardly thrown in there along with the lock nuts for wheel.

 

i'll see what kind of trouble i can get into this weekend.

 

taking a small piece of cabinet lament cut to fit ,sand here, there....done.

 

Well fuck, I didn’t even by the wood yet!!

 

that's how i usually approach most projects.

with a sander, pencil and enough time, everything is cut-to-fit!

 

This will be a scaled down version of my rear seat delete pet shelf for the mutts. Which is also in the planning stage. Lol.
Biggest challenge will be getting the wood in a scrap pile.

 

Alternatively, you could just buy the shelf (It's 17 dollars right now) and not use the vertical dividers.

 

Tape measure has a built in measure. The length of the unit is usually 2-3 inches exactly. This is done on purpose. Just extend it to the far edge lock it. And add the distance. Done.
