I’ve tried that, letting off the gas completely for a few seconds, shifting to neutral and back to drive. Nothing will make it upshift until it wants to lol.

Hello @98tacojunky - sorry to hear the experience is a bit off for your use. That's something I'd like to try to help with because "I don’t notice a difference anywhere" is not the outcome you paid for. If you have a Windows laptop and are wiling to work with me let me know. I have talked with Kevin and I'd like to provide you remote support to see what we can do. If you are up for it please msg me and we'll see if we can save you the commute and make the tune all it should be for you!

Update review on the latest KDMAX Pro 9.0 tune on Lite throttle setting.

I’ve currently run approximately 4 tanks through this tune. One right after my truck was lifted and winch bumper and winch installed. But still running stock tires. My average tank mileage was right at 19.5 to 19.8. MPG’s. That with a 60/40 mix driving split of back country road with average speeds around 50-55 MPH and Highway/Interstate speeds of 68-72 MPH on average.

The second tank was somewhat of a unicorn I installed new 17x9” -6 offset wheels wrapped in 285/70/17 Maxxis Rayz 811 AT’s. This wheel and tire combo put me at 2-3 lbs more per corner so wasn’t sure what to expect on mileage. I got 17.8 on the gauges prior to correcting to oversized tire using the math formula. After researching and figuring out “percent off” from true odometer readings (I used initially 8.5% difference). That tank corrected came to 19.2 MPG’s.

Third tank filled up at the 1/4 mark resulted in 296.2 miles reading on gauges. Add back in the 8.5% correction for distance traveled = 25.17 = 321.37. / 15.565 = 20.7 MPG

Now on the fourth tank and gauges are at 19.6 MPG. I have since recalculated the percent off and corrected for a 8.1% odometer reading difference. So I’m currently riding a 19.6 x 8.1% correction = 1.587 +19.6 = 21.2 MPG rounded up. Not bad, not bad at all!

Josh @Jbaboa75 came in today with his 2018 Pro. Got him updated and flashed with Pro-9.0 with Sport +. Josh was looking for a really responsive throttle so we customized the Sport throttle to his liking. It was good meeting you and Taylor today. Josh texted me later " So far runs amazing.I like the extra throttle. The low end feels perfect exactly what i was looking for"
Please let us know how your enjoying the custom Sport+ tune.

Here's my recent fuel logs . I'm rolling 315/75/16s, stock gears, 5400 lbs and running 92 octane . These mpgs are with me staying at 60mph best I can . People on i-5 get mad I'm sure , but hay there's other lanes .

19 to 20 mpg is more consistent now with 92 octane . I have been once again trying regular gas and OMG my taco is too fat for regular gas . I can see a mild modded Tacoma running regular gas and normal throttle settings getting same results . Weight is just a huge factor . I preach about premium fuel all the time and I show results . I have to run premium to get best result's. Come on I'm able to maintain 60mph 6th gear at 1450rpms . That's gotta impress somebody lol

I'm losing almost 3mpg using regular octane . So far I've noted about 50+miles loss per tank regular gas

    Billy those are Outstanding #’s!

My Log is just now starting to stabilize (me figuring out a consistent fill up method and recording).

The last 3 tanks are KDMAX Pro 9.0 Lite throttle. 1st of the 3 was right after flash and prior to 33’s. Last two on the 33’s and getting better. Driving as stated mixed with speeds listed.

I use to log my prices, but when fuel was outrageous I quit. Made me mad lol . Here in Washington state our fuel prices are dropping.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
If your premium is alcohol free (it is in most places in the country), that would be about right as ethanol blend fuel has less energy density.

Locally, we have a vendor that has ethanol free midgrade, which is all I use. I see similar gains over regular. These days, the increased cost of midgrade over regular isn't justified by the MPG gains, I'm doing it more out of principal. Ethanol is a boondoggle.
