    Hello,

Sorry if this is a stupid question but I am going to ask anyway..

I have my tacoma lifted in the rear with a 2" block (3/2 kit). I installed new rear shocks supposedly for a 1.5 to 3" lift.
After installing, I hear a clunk coming from the rear of the truck whenever I hit bumps...could this be coming from the shocks?

Clunks could be from anything, but if all you changed was shocks I would start there. Probably your shocks are either not long enough for full droop, or too short for full compression. You'd have to disconnect the shocks and then cycle the rear suspension and measure, then compare to the shock compressed/extended specs to find out what's really going on.

You don't get lift in the rear from the shocks, you get it from a new leaf pack or an add-a-leaf.

Need more details: What shocks were installed? Did you do them yourself? A shop?

I tend to agree with above with a theory. Whoever did the 2" block lift could have put extended travel shocks on. The shocks you had installed in place of them may have less travel. You are probably bottoming out on the shocks.

EDIT - Sorry I reread your post and I could be reading it wrong.
    1. Did you do both of these at the same time and the shocks were marketed as good to accommodate a 1.5" to 3" lift?
    2. Did you do the block lift a while back or bought it like that, and now just installed new shocks hoping for more lift?
I think it is #1, but clarify please.
