Several months ago, as I was driving to a cousin's house, the entire right-side front-end suspension gave way and collapsed whilst I was driving into a gentle curve in the road. I slid approximately 45 metres before halting right before entering a roadside ditch. Needless to say, that the right front rim and tyre were what the truck slid upon until I halted the truck. The brake line was the only thing which kept those from bounding across the road into oblivion. That rim was warped and unserviceable and was later tossed for scrap. My truck has been repaired and runs quite well today.
My dilemma remains that I have not been able to locate a replacement for that rim and I'm using the spare rim for now. If anyone knows or knows which direction to point me in, I surely need such assistance. The rim is a 5-lug spoked rim silver by colour and was standard equipment on my 1999 Tacoma 2.4 L 2WD truck. Cost should be no worries nor does it actually need to be silver, I simply need to have that spare back hanging beneath the truck bed.
I sincerely appreciate any assistance that may be provide for this retired GySgt. My email addy is: lizzo4577@gmail.com. Many thank you's and Semper Fi.
