    The woods are dead still here in nw Georgia. Temperatures are supposed to drop to freezing next Friday and I can’t wait. It was 70 here this week with lows in the mid 50’s.

    Story time hopefully don't sound too Opie Taylorish. My Boy has an open buck tag after harvesting two doe. We sat in our stands till about 9:30. Boy calls on the radio says he is going to try and push something around. Winds up he pushed five deer past my Dad, who drops one. Dad hasn't killed for about 3 years. My Dad was so happy and my Boy and I were happier, but what I am trying to say is my Son was more concerned with his Pap getting a deer as opposed to his own open tag. Which today was our last day of rifle. So yeah I raised a good man! On top of that my Nephew wants to learn how to skin and cut up deer so we did an in service on that as well. Been a while since we have seen my Dad so happy and smiling! Awesome day! Edit: Dad is 84 years young.
