Hey guys so I’ve got a 2014 Tacoma and in looking for canopies/campers I’ve found that there is some difference in the shape of the cab that makes it incompatible with most 2nd gen long bed solutions any help finding options would be great I have yet to find out what DOES fit my truck.

Most companies make regular cab versions of their Tacoma campers. I’ve found from having a few different toppers on my RC, contractor and aluminum’s toppers seem to fit since they are produced for more generic bed sizes. These are 2 toppers I’ve had over the years, there’s been a few others as well.

The back of the cab is more vertical on the RC versus the access and double cabs, so with the fiberglass shells, since they conform more with the cab angle, the top of the shell will rub the upper brake light. One solution is to pull the shell back from the cab as far as possible, which is what I wound up doing.

ARE, LEER, SNUGTOP make shells for your truck. Also local companies around your area make knockoff campers for much less. Or get a custom made one or make it yourself. I have a reg cab aswell and I got a highroof

If you live in SoCal, mine will be available for sale in the next few days. Bought it new about 18 months ago. SnugTop CabHi with the Sportsman package (500lbs roof capacity). Front sliding window, sliding windows on both sides with pet screens and carpeted. Also has a power package with interior lights and a couple of USB ports. Roof rails with Rhino Rack cross bars. Paid around $2600, will let it go for $1000.
