I have a Gen 3 Glock 23c (the .40 version of the 19...with the built in compensator), and I'll probably never buy another Glock. It's nice, but there are much better options for the price.

My recommendation: buy a Walther PPQ (should be cheaper since they are discontinued), or the current Walther PDP. Much better trigger, much better ergonomics, and overall a much better choice than the G19. In addition, it's MSRP is slightly less than the G19. The other striker fired option for something on par with the Walthers would be the HK VP9. It's trigger and ergonomics is on par with the Walthers, but their MSRP is a little more than the G19. I guess if you put $500 into your Glock 19, you might be able to bring it up to that level.

Hammer fired Sigs, CZs, etc. are also better choices.

You already have the MR920 by Shadow Systems, Some call it the Guchi Glock, but in reality it is a much better version of the G19, just shoot what you have. I have the MR920L with the 4 1/2" barrel, my favorite striker fired pistol, I love my 1911's for precision shooting and been using that platform for 50 years, but the MR 920L will go with me when I carry.

I mean I’ve shot like 70k rounds trough my Gen 3. And that’s a low end estimate.

I own a Gen3, three Gen4s, and a Gen5. The Gen5 is my favorite mostly because of the front slide serrations and feel of the trigger. However, I’m not planning to part with my Gen4s. The Gen3 is meh.

Splitting hair between Gen 3 and 19X. Gave the Gen 5 19 to my old boss as retirement gift couple months after I bought it.
