But your light bar and its power lines are mounted thru the roof. I would check under the headliner for any signs of water and reseal everything. Be careful though in case there are airbags up there.

Ok so now I feel dumb, Toyota didn't start putting cabin air filters in the Tacoma until 2005.

How did you mount the bar to the cab? I see the wire runs through an existing hole, but is the bar bolted to the top of the cab?

make sure your heater/evaporator box isn't leaking onto your carpet. if it's coming from the vents, you may need to do a mold/bacteria treatment for the HVAC system.

Is it seasonal(aka reallya noticeable during raining/ wet season) A quick Check under carpets for any damp/wet areas. Even the smallest water leaks will grow mold/ mildew in the right conditions

I’ve been looking for a decent set of drill brushes! Is it kinda easy to get to the evaporator? I can see if the thing is full of dust?

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
For what it is worth in my job I slopped through most everything .

I needed to just remove the carpet and insulation on the drivers floor it just never dried.

I have pretty good quality floor mats. I sealed the hole in the seam and hopes that that was the cause I only found a minute amount of moisture in the carpet on the driver side.

More rain in Louisiana! And I found another cause of the water. Retaining clip from wiper shroud was bad and loosened a gasket that is supposed to direct water away from the firewall and possible places of intrusion.

If it smells like dirty/sweaty gym socks my bet is in your evaporator box being filled with water because the drain tube is clogged.

You said you live in Louisiana? You run the A/C a lot in a humid climate.

Park on a slight incline so the nose of the truck is lower than the rear. Take a clothes hanger or similar pick and gently poke in the drain tube from the engine side. My guess is a lot of water drains out.

Then run some evap box cleaner through the system.
