Turned 40 this year and finally got around to getting a truck. Feel like I've needed one for years just owning a home and having 3 boys. Pretty excited about the purchase.

Sold my 2019 Hyundai Kona last week, paid 13k for it 2020 like 2 weeks before everything shut down with 30k miles and sold it for 16k with 65k miles to Carvana. I was doing about a 2 hour round trip to work but recently picked up a 100% virtual job...Kona is paid off and figured why not sell it and get a truck.

I saw this 2021 with about 2k miles on it pop up at a local dealership I've purchased from in the pas. Took the taco for a test drive and the family came along and everyone loved it...still has a new car smell. Older buy bought it and barely drove it....sold it to the dealership for a smaller car. Put the entire Kona sale towards this. Already used it to pick up furniture and home repair stuff that wouldn't fit in the family suv.

It's a 4x2 v6...I have an AWD suv that's amazing in the snow and I don't plan on doing any off-roading with this...so don't really need any lift kits but I could see going camping at some local campsites...they all have normal or gravel roads...but any suggestions or recommendations on mods to pick up would be appreciated it.

Nice truck! Sounds like everything came together nicely with your truck purchase. Enjoy.

Your truck will go a lot places in 2wd with good tires, forest service roads no problem for the most part.

yeah most of the places I'm thinking I would go with it are mostly forest service types roads. Any suggestion on good tires?

Welcome & nice truck! I liked your timing for buying for $13K & selling for $16K. I always hear about that, but never experience it.

My recommendation: keep what you've got until you are sure that they aren't good enough. My stock tires (still on there) have gotten me everywhere I needed to go so far (mud, snow, etc.).

Your tires will work for sure, but there are some great looking tires out there. They really change how your truck looks. I’d look for something C load, around 45 lbs. 265 75 16 are easy to fit. 255s are also easy to work with if you like a skinner tire. Tiresize.com is a good site to check out tire specs.
