Hello TW, I did review past searches for this issue however I'd like to see what the current consensus is regarding needing an extra washer when swapping the TSS from a stock/OEM grill to a TRD Pro grill. From the threads i've seen, it's almost hit or miss whether or not you'd get an error when doing the swap w/ no modifications. I'll be swapping over to a Pro grill next week and was wondering if I should proactively insert the washer or take my chances w/ a direct swap. My truck is also lifted (2.5"F, 1.5R" w/ 285's).

    Oh look, another mod....

The lift will have no effect on the sensor. I did the grille swap and put one washer under the TSS Sensor. It works flawlessly.

Is that the Taco Vinyl grille by any chance? Mine was just delivered yesterday. If you don't mind my asking where did you put the washer and what size was it? Thanks :)

Yes, mine was Taco Vinyl. I actually had a washer laying around in my garage. I'm not sure on the exact size, it it was just smaller than a quarter, and about the same thickness too.

Just FYI - the Taco Vinyl web site says 2-4 weeks for delivery. Mine took just under 8 weeks. Hopefully you will be more lucky than I was. The good news is I installed it over the weekend and everything went fine, just watch their video.
