Hello all. New member and first time 4x4 owner.

I drove used Toyota 2wd pickups for many years, had several, then bought a brand new one in 1986, a 2wd, four cylinder, manual trans that I drove till 2009 at 220k miles. I retired it because of body rust, though the frame is still solid and the engine and tranny are fine. I might restore it one day.

Then I tried a 1997 Ford Ranger 2wd, four cylinder manual and drove that till this spring, when frame rust retired it.

I then purchased a 1997 Tacoma 4x4 six cylinder manual. Great truck so far. Nice to be in a Toyota once more. Gonna try to keep this from rusting and hope to drive it for many years to come. I've been to this forum many times to look up info, but finally decided to join today. : )
