I did my best to search around here before posting, forgive me if this has been asked a lot.

Couple of issues recently with my 2008 TRD Sport 4.0 V6 (195kmi)

    - While driving home from a fishing trip my check engine light came on, I stopped at the nearest auto store and checked the codes. It came back with P0020 and P0348, the old timers at the shop told me to clear the codes and then if they came back take it in. Codes wouldn't clear. They told me it was safe to drive and I would really only notice a change in my fuel efficiency. I changed the oil when I got home ( I was going to change it that day anyways) and took it to my normal mechanic to peek at the next day, he was also unable to clear the codes and didnt have time to take in the truck right then. Any ideas on solutions/troubleshooting? How hard would it be to replace those camshaft position sensors myself? Im far from a mechanic, do my own oil changes but thats about it. If I do need to take it in for replacement, is there a huge difference in what parts I would get at a normal mechanic vs a dealership? Im assuming dealership will be much more expensive.

    - While driving home from the store after not being able to clear the codes, I noticed that my AC light was on and I couldn't turn it off. I tried every position on all three knobs and even turned the air off completely but it stayed on. Not blinking or anything, solid illumination. Did I somehow break something, or is this a common issue quick fix type thing?

    TIA

Have you looked under the hood in the valley of the engine for rodent damage?
Those codes are circuit codes, I bet your gona find some chewed wires.
The P0020 is for the Bank 2 (Drivers side) Oil Control Solenoid.
The P0348 is for the Bank 2 (Drivers Side) Cam (VVT) Sensor.

for the a/c light problem . try adjusting the temperture knob . i noticed mine would stay on because i had the temp knob turned all the way to coldest. if you turn it back a little you will feel a click. then the light should be off.

Randy - I adjusted all of the knobs in all positions and couldn't get it to turn off. I did notice while messing with it today that when I push the button the light will go from dimly lit to normally illuminated. AC is also operating fully and correctly, turns off when the light is dim and engages when illuminated.
