I would go nuts if I had to drive 65mph.

I drive 52 miles a day round trip, 40 of those are on 95 between Palm Coast and Ormond Beach then back to Palm Coast.

I get in the fast lane and roll with it. Usually between 80 to 90mph. I fill up between 6 to 7 days when it gets to a 1/4 tank.

According to the mileage thing on the truck I average between 19.5 to 20.5 a gallon.

Haha I run 5 over posted limit.
Interstate is 65 but I run secondary roads mostly. I’m old and in no hurry anymore.
I’m at like 13 tank average but do breaks at work in it running.
    Trips run about 20-23.
    I’m also running 285/75/16s.

This thread brings back a memory from the past.

I worked for a General Motors component division. Back in the 70s, GM came out with the "X Body", a series of small vehicles to fight the Asian imports. I think the Chevy version was the Citation. Anyway, one of the guys in the plant bought one. He was kind of an asshat and always liked to brag about anything he did. So he was talking up how great a car he had. Well, each week we would sneak out to the parking lot and put a gallon of gas in his tank. For 6 or 8 weeks we heard all about how great his new car was and what great gas milage he was getting. Then .... we quit putting in gas!!! Soon he was back at the dealer every other week trying to figure out what went to shit on his car. He must have spent hours with the dealer. We laughed for hours !! But, we never again had to listen to what a great car he had.

I know it wasn't very nice, but I was young, and you had to be there to really understand.

A couple months ago, I did a test. My truck is a 2wd with diamondback bedcover. Premium gas.

I went the speed limit everywhere for three fill-ups. Ever drive like a turtle...people honking... Best I got was 25-26 mpg
Next, I drove 5mph over the speed limit, best averaged 24mpg.

I settled for normal (keep up with traffic) driving and cheapest gas. Almost every time I get 22-23mpg at fill up.
IMO: Premium gas is a gimmick.

that's my current record for my drive home from work. no highways, no traffic, and mostly 35-45 mph roads with no stoplights.

That's about what I get, Manual offroad 21. If I ride at 60miles on the highway I get about 23-24, if I go 70, probably about 20, if I'm screaming for a ticket, probably 16 to 18.

Also I don't have much stuff in it right now, in the bed I have a fridge, hunting gear, boots, and bow. and in the back seat I have a couple of backpacks. probably 100lbs total between the 2.

I get around 18-20 when im not in a rush. Seems like these trucks start to have massive wind drag around 60mph.

Citations were absolute piles of hot garbage, that had to be funny for that guy to try to understand his MPG, LOL.

I’m all but stock on my set-up (for now) besides a tonneau cover. I typically am anywhere from 21 to 23 mpg per tank. KO2s are getting install next year so I know it’s going to drop. To balance that I am going to upgrade exhaust, KDMax tune and possibly add an aftermarket CAI/throttle body spacer combo.
