I just bought a 2003 Tacoma and am wanting to put on a SoftTopper bed cover.

However I also need to install a bed rack for various things including a RTT.

I know SoftTopper/Datin offer a rack that works with the gen2 and 3 tacos.

Does anyone know if it is retrofitable or know of another rack that may work? I do not necessarily need the topper to be operational (folding down).

I would go hardshell topper but I just simply don't like how they look on the gen1s, love them on gen3s.

    Thanks.

    Welcome to the Forum!!

If you can do fabrication yourself you can pretty much do what you need.

Having a Friend that might Fabricate for consumables is also good.

Paying a Shop to build projects like this tends to make them no longer cost effective $$$$ it comes down to how bad you need to make something work.

If the product you linked to is within your budget it should work I have never seen one in person. Maybe some one has purchased one.

    Happy hunting!

Sorry I can't find the file but if you contact Softopper customer service, they can actually provide a file with compatible racks that they're aware of. There were more in the market than I imagined.
