Probably not the best practice but I have one dedicated CC that I keep a zero/minimal balance on so that I can make those purchases when I come across them, and pay them off later.

There's always cash advances...lol but I wouldn't suggest that since it has even higher interest than the CC normally does.

But yeah probably best to handle your needs first before the wants lol

Lol I know the feeling. When me and the ex broke up my rent doubled. Been living a mostly hermit life recently since I got tired of wasting a bunch of money dating, just focusing on clearing any debt and saving now...after buying the S1K first thing after becoming single of course.

Upshift Online started selling these little like bungee cord clip things, made in Idaho and pretty cheap so I bought some. They arrived today and they threw in a metric buttload of stickers and a nice thank you note. Gotta love small moto businesses. If you haven’t checked out their online magazine or store, you should. I wish I had a bike they made a graphics kit for.

New tires on the 250 today. Got a little tired of running true dirt knobbies on the road (terrible wear, and other reasons I'll explain eventually), so we went with these.
Shinko 244 50/50s. Only put a few miles on so far but they feel GREAT! Much smoother than the knobbies and a bigger contact patch.

I just bought a set of used OZ Racing wheels using my CC. If you link it to PayPal, you can use it to pay whoever and that's as good as cash. If they don't want to accept PayPal, it would seem sketchy.

I wouldn't usually do that, but it was a smoking deal and I'll pay it off with my next commission check.

The tether things? Just shock cord with a clip, real simple but handy and pretty cheap. I plan on using a few to keep my glove pairs together and other just to keep in my tank bag to cinch on whatever comes along.

Keep your chin up, TW friends! It's rough for us single dudes sometimes.

Not a financial advisor, but I am an accountant if money trouble's got ya down. I'd be glad to see if I can help.

Here for anyone that needs it, even if it doesn't have to do with dollar signs. :)

Managed a nice 110 miles today to bring the FJR up to over 47k miles. Temps were 37-39 degrees the whole time. Heated jacket and gloves on low kept me comfy.
