    My sisters 5th gen 4runner had the steel “skid” almost gouge the plastic tank that it was supposed to protect after her husband drove over some debris because it bent and tore creating knife edges. Id wager a plastic one like ours wouldn’t bend and create jagged edges while being sacrificial whilst deflecting impact. Is it worth mentioning our beds are also composite?
