I can’t figure this out. It isn’t a deal breaker but I’d like to change it.
    Here goes -

    2022 SR 5 w/ basic technology package.
    When IPhone is connected
    with the supplied red cable.
The map display on the head unit shows my truck traveling Right instead of straight ahead. It is a tad disorienting for me. I am asking is there a place in Settings on the head unit where I can change this? Is it an IPhone thing? Anybody have this happen and sorted it out?
    Thanks for thoughts or solutions.

    Chris

I do not think the issue is in your head unit as it is mirroring your phone. Go into the google map settings and poke around. I believe you will find settings to orient to direction of travel. In andorid it is the compass rose on the screen I believe. it has been a long time since I had to mess with it.

If you touch the compass needle on the map on your phone, that will change the orientation so direction of travel is up. This should change on the truck screen when you do this as well.

Thanks both for this, very helpful.
IPhone Settings showed set to keeping North at top of map so I turned that OFF.
I will check the compass needle as suggested.

It is the settings in maps not the Iphone. Remember.... Apple really does not play well with Google. and vice versa.

Apple plays perfectly fine with Google…. Check these two settings on your google maps.
I had this issue once but can’t recall exactly what I did.

Apple would rather you use Apple Maps..... So things are not naturally compatible with google. It does work fine but sometimes you have to mess with it.
