I'm looking to get the Total Chaos 2 inch expedition series long-travel kit for a 2018 4x4 Tacoma, as well as King 3.0's front/rear. Ordering C4 fitment kit as well.

Currently I have Icon 2.5's w/ remotes all-around, UCAs, and the RTX leaf pack. It's hard to find exactly what I need to make long-travel work, so I figured I'd ask the TacomaWorld crowd to get some thoughts. I'm sure I could eventually find all of this info but I'd like to have it all in one place. Some general questions:

    1. What are all of the extra parts that y'all recommend to go along with the kit?

    2. Do I need extended travel shocks?

    3. Does anyone recommend a body lift?

    4. Will my current wheels work with the kit?

    5. Any shops y'all recommend in Texas?

I do a mix of everything. 50/50 between high speed runs and technical crawling. A lot of wilderness camping and do whatever it takes to get there. Seeking a well-rounded build that can handle an occasional jump and won’t break another spring 300 miles from nowhere.

“Long travel” and “body lift” in the same post?? Hmmm…seems like a Friday thread to me

Saw a guy out in Death Valley with a body-lifted long travel setup. Said he was happy with it. Figured I didn't know enough about it to totally discredit it without asking
