Well just left the dentist. Can't feel my face at all. No more dentists till the new year. I go back on 1/7/23 for some more fun and activities.

The downtown properties have natural gas, a few months ago there was a notification of a small rate increase...

    96.5% !

Me at the desk:  ... :censored: ... :rocket: ...:rant:and finally ...:pout:

At home for the first time ever it is actually cheaper for me to heat with electricity than heating oil.

The "funny" part of this - remember the Marcellus Shale fracking boom several years ago? That is right in my back yard. It caused all sorts of disruption to folks daily lives as well as some permanent changes.

Not a matter of it being good or bad so much as when the gas companies were trying settle irate people down part of the routine was always "having gas wells local will keep your energy costs down".

    Yeah, right...

I have an appointment January 6th to get a cracked tooth pulled. That's the one my dentist had hoped could have a root canal and crown a little while ago but endodontist determined can't be fixed. I'll actually be glad when it finally gets yanked. No real pain but just a nuscience.

We are supposed to meet next Friday, the 23rd for lunch. But my wife and mother are getting cold feet (literally) because the weather is s supposed to be bad that day. So, for now we ae still on. I'll let you know - if we go. I want to try it, badly because I like trying new places.

Unfortunately, cast iron doesn't work on an electric cooktop. :( I have stone cookware from Germany. It's nice.

Lodge cast iron, too! I picked up a new one from them this year and a cast iron muffin pan, too.

There is a vintage Griswold at a nearby antique store that I have an unhealthy obsession with. I don't have an obsession with the price tag on it though lol

I have the whole set of them. Actually have 3 of the large ones you see in the picture. I love cooking with the cast iron.

Good morning. Not looking forward to going outside to clear 3" of snow off of the vehicles and trailer. Would've tarped the trailer had I known we were going to get this much. Windy as hell out too. Oh well, could always be so much worse like what my family is dealing with out west.

I'm sure that there are natural solutions to such an eyesore that would make that endeavor far less sweet to the developers.
