After 5 years of owning the 4Runner the battery finally gave up the ghost. It was 7 degrees Friday morning and came out to a dead batter

    upload_2022-12-18_8-31-45.jpg

Decided to go with a AGM because of the winch and the week long camping trips.

    upload_2022-12-18_8-32-19.jpg

For some reason I could not keep the terminal clamps and the battery bracket from getting corrosion. I constantly cleaned them, used felt pads and battery terminal protector spray. Cleaned everything off and paint the bracket since it was down to bare metal.

    All put together

We took the 4runner on the ski road trip. Honestly, I love the 5 speed auto. The seats are better. But it was 70 mph winds today on I 80. And this 4runner felt like a kite compared to my tacos

I never have been in love with the 20" wheels on my 2018 Limited, so I finally replaced them with 17" TRD wheels and 265/70 Toyo Open Country AT3s. Wow, they give a whole new look to a Limited!

I did have just a slight rub on both sides on the front of the inner wheel liners. I unscrewed the liners at the bottoms, pushed them back several inches and drilled new holes. PERFECT!

UPDATE: I walked over to my nearby Toyota dealer and looked at a 2023 4Runner TRD Off Road, and the inner wheel liner is moved forward. I wonder if the Limited models had the liner moved in, or is that how they all now are?

Plus the stock street tires on the 4Runner looked smaller verses the Toyos I put on mine, even with being 265/70/17s.

I love the 5 speed too! It's so smooth, and no harsh downshifts like... well you know!

Looks great! I'm absolutely shocked you had rubbing with a stock size, 265/70R17 tire! I've never heard of that before, is the Limited just that different? I don't hear about rubbing issues with 275/70R17's, and some folks even say they have no rubbing with 285/70R17's. I'm truly floored.

I believe the Limiteds have different front and rear bumpers. I could be wrong, but they look like the come back further towards the tires than the SR5/TRD OR bumper.

It must be that the Limited's front inner wheel liners are different, due to Toyota putting on the 20" wheels (245/60/20)? When I unscrewed the liners at the bottom and pushed them further forward, they moved about 2" away from the tires, and now the liners look just like the positioning of the 2023 TRD Off Road I went and looked at. (The rub was a full turn.)

A lot of aftermarket bumpers won't work with the Limited bumper. I think it is different enough that it will cause issues.

Bought a very clean 2007 SR5 4Runner last week. This weekend New wipers, ordered weathertech floor mats, replaced climate control bulbs, ordered roof rack caps, (I broke one within a hour of buying) got a estimate on repairing a small rip on the bolster on the drivers seat. Next weekend change the fluids. I have a 2022 Tacoma but I am loving the 4Runner.
