I bought a set of 4 mud terrain GY kevlar tires with about 75% tread life remaining for $600. I read a few comments forums that these tires can be noisy on the roadway. Most of my driving is on the road but they are short up to 10 miles. Am having second thoughts of mounting them in my SCC Ray 10s mainly because of the road noise? Like to know if anyone has these tires and how noisy are they and how they handle on and offroad. Also if you had gone through the tires with complete wear how many miles did put on them?

I’ve had 4 sets of them over the years. If you rotate on schedule you can see about 25-30,000 miles (my cousins current set is about that long - strictly road driven)

Personally my 4 sets - when they age they get hard and that’s when they become loud. Didn’t bother me tho, didn’t even notice the sound till my friend rode with me one day.
My last set was 285/70/17, it began cupping and I was over it.
I drove them on the road, rain, and volcanic rock. On volcanic rock I started tearing the tire quite a bit, but that terrain will do it to any type of tire anyway.
they’re also a pain in the ass to balance - I believe one of my wheel’s had 9oz haha

Personally, after all the years, I’m never going back to that tire. I’m on Falken wild peaks now and it’s quiet, superb offroad, wet traction and durability even ON volcanic rock.

Attached are a few previous vehicles. One not pictured is my jeep, and another photo missing is when my 3rd Gen was on 275/70 with a 3” lift.
    So I guess I had 5 sets

I don’t care what brand they are, if they’re a mud tire then they’re eventually going to be noisy. If thats something that worries you and you know you won’t truly use them to the full extent of their capabilities. Get rid of them and get you some ATs. Wild peaks are in right now.

Thank you all for your reviews. They are helpful in making my decision to try to sell them.

They are fantastic tires but will be noisy and wear quickly. As stated above you'll want a strict schedule to rotate to prolong the life. I honestly would not run them on a daily driver. I would keep them as an off road only set.
