Wasn't sure to put this in the 3rd gen section or here...but anyways. What is this noise? Sounds and feels like it's coming from the coils but its just hard to tell. It only happens when the suspension is cycling. I replaced the front radiator bushings, thinking that was my issue, nope. Still have this clunk along with a metal on metal noise when turning which I think is my steering rack bushing..replacing those next but I don't think those are what's causing the noise in the video below.

This noise has been happening on OME 885 coils and now also 888 coils..so maybe not coils?

My suspension setup is 5100/888 coils. SPC uppers.

That sounds like pinging of pretty thin sheet metal, so I doubt it's coil related.

Almost sounds like the brake dust shield.

I’ll double check them tonight and see if anything is making contact. I got a new set of coil overs I’m putting in to see if anything changes. My 5100 bushings are toast also so I’m just putting a whole new setup in.

I know. It’s sounds a lot louder in the video, but it’s been doing this for the last like 30k miles. And now it’s doing it on the passenger side…we’ll see what happens with my new coil overs tonight.

Well, good news. The shot bushing in the 5100s must have been the culprit. With the new setup…both of the noises I had been trying to track down are gone. Such a relief!

I went outside the norm based on a friend's recommendation who's had them on several trucks and picked up some Rancho Quicklifts for $200 a pop. Assembled and ready to go. Built-in adjusters on them that seem to make a difference in my experience playing with them last night.

Truck is sitting about a 1/2” higher than the 5100/888 coils but I imagine it will be almost the same once everything settles. So far it rides the same, or a bit better than the 5100s. Right now I am a happy camper. But also curious why there is nearly no info on this suspension setup. The price/performance seems super solid from what I can tell so far.
