Trust your instincts. When the hair on the back of you neck stands up, there’s a reason…it may not seem rational (might be dismissed as superstition) but you need to trust it.

New poll: not superstitious. I had a company truck that had 666 on the license plate, another one was truck number 13. Had a black cat.

@six5crèéd: prayers for the house sent.
    Nice deer.

Goodnight everyone, see you all tomorrow.

Came from the days of swords. Most men are right handed, so the sword was worn on the left hip. You mounted left leg first so you didn't have to deal with a flailing blade on the leg you kicked over the horse. Because that was the proper way to do it, it was standardized.

Good morning Wrenchmen and other manly men of related tendencies, interests or aspirations. :hattip:

26 degrees here this AM, the guessers are calling for 32 and partly cloudy (or partly sunny for the optimist).

Sounds like a good day to wrap Mrs Greens Christmas presents -- well, there is optimism for you, I hate wrapping presents... :(

I wrap down at the garage for a number of reasons:
    1) privacy
    2) big table with good light
    3) all the supplies are in stock
    4) access to my somewhat extensive music selection
    5) no cats to "help" :D

Here's hoping y'all have a good day friends. :pccoffee:
:fingerscrossed: and good news for@six5crèéd

    Thanks, I wasn't sure exactly / couldn't remember.
    Goodmorning crew.
I had 4 hours on the books that needs used or lose them so leaving worj 2 hours early yesterday and today.
This morning 13° and expected to get below zero on Thursday. The morning news was downplaying the big snow event Wednesday - Thursday
Work load is almost nothing this week with most of the shop working on yearly training requirements.

Sadie and I got in the blind about 4:15 yesterday and had a cow horn and a nice 8 show up the first few minutes. They were about 220 yards, a tad farther than she feels comfortable shooting and they walked in the woods.

We still had about an hour left and with all the does in front of us, she said she wanted to shoot one. I said you don’t want to wait and see if the 8 comes back out? She said, nah. She held the gun all buy herself this time. The other ones she’s sat on my lap and I’ve helped with the recoil. She made a perfect lung shot about 75-85 yards. She’s big time now :infantry:

I ask the owner if I could trim a tree back in front of the blind, he said trim away. Cole and I took the pole saw over Sunday afternoon and trimmed it.

Few feelings finer than leaving work early :)

... except for not going to work at all that is. :D

Sounds like what I have when I shoot, unless I tell myself to calm down and focus. I've also had buck fever too :infantry:

Cole has more pressure now, it's girls 3, boys 0 and I told them I'm not shooting this year....it's all them :D

I'm 47 and have the same problem, left side is awful. I'm guessing it came from tractors, shooting, grinding, motorcycles, etc. with no hearing protection. I try now when doing things to wear ear protection, don't always happen but I'm trying to set a good example for the kids.

They sent me for a hearing test last year and told me I couldn't hear. I said I told you that when I got here. They told me I'd have to have hearing aids sometime. My dad is the same way, he's been wearing hearing aids for several years now.
