    Uhhhh, paint? lol. I was going to use the Krylon Hammered black to match my other bed hardware but didn't realize I was out of that paint so I just grabbed whatever gloss black I had in the garage to match the powdercoat. I think it was another Krylon product but it didn't stick very well without primer (likely dude to it actually being cold that day in Phoenix). Should have just went with brake caliper paint.

    just one? that seems odd, but hey if it works it works......my only concern over time would be stressing the ends where the strut connects...there's a lot of pressure there now and not '' shared '' by another strut.

    @SH7mi

    I got the QuickLift Elite Hood Struts...a little pricier at $129. Pic from my last OTT update to 8.0 with Gear Lock on Sept 18, 2022.

    Is that just one strut on yours? Curious because that hood is heavy! (I think the Skewp on my Sport adds some Dynamic Power in the weight! lol)

    Just one. It’s (the strut) engineered to handle the weight. I’m eventually adding an Injen CAI. The strut on the passenger side would interfere so R4T sells one just for that reason.

    Hey Ed,
    These tunes really improve our trucks. I hope you’re enjoying it.

    Indeed, we designed the single strut kit to get around obstacles on either side of the engine compartment (CAIs, air compressors, etc). One strut can easily lift the hood, so it works the same way as our regular two strut system.

    Yes, the single strut is sold by Spiker. Sorry, I should have tagged you in that.
    I’m not a fan of rivets but there’s no other way to attach. If any of you do this, have some quality primer/paint on hand for the drilled holes.

    Replaced the dash 12V outlet with a Blue Sea 1045. Fairly easy though I picked the coldest day of the year to do it. Didn’t have to enlarge the mounting hole or anything, it socketed right in. Could have used another inch of wire on the harness, but it worked.

    Also replaced the tweeters with these:

    DS18 PRO-ST 1.9" Replacement Upgrade Bullet Compression Tweeters with Crossovers- Car OEM Tweeter Upgrade Kit for Many Subaru/Toyota Models - Replacement for H631SFJ101 and H631SFJ100 (Pair) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09HVCQZXF

    Direct plug replacement and they sound much better. Will replace the door speakers with kickers when I replace the head unit.

    I'm hoping for a dash cam. Under hood lights...hmmm...before I heard that I was happy with my flash light. Dang. What do you wire them to?

    A simple wire tap and a on / off switch with the parking lamps. I figure if it’s dark. Then I’d be running lamps anyways.

    The bed lamp will be a little different. Mebbe a tap on a taillight wire and a switch as well.
