We have not yet. We are still in the development stage of getting something setup properly because we like to play in the plug & play pool as much as possible! The wiring is all done, but we are still working with our fabricator to get the proper mount setup for the Tacomas.

any of you guys running 8 or more rock lights using the bantomX switch panel? Curious on how many switches you took up, and how im going to deal with 16 wires back at the switch panel

I have 9 rock lights all connected to one harness but if you didn’t want to do it that way I guess you could use bus bars. 8 positive wires to the positive bus bar and 8 negative wires to the negative bus bar. Then you connect those bus bars to your bantam positive and negative which would only use up one switch.

Would you use something like this? Perhaps run two rock lights per terminal? Or would you suggest something better?

Went with 8x KC cyclone V2's. The spread is awesome and super important for spotters on a night ride.

I bought some blue sea ones but those would probably be fine too.

Make sure to fuse it! I choose to fuse each light since these can get smashed on a rock and I don't want my whole system to go out. It's also good practice to fuse often.

supposedly you don’t have to with solid state switch pros or bantam x? I use a modified yotamafia rock light kit controlled by the cargo light switch which I believe utilizes a fuse and relay.

I do believe the bantam X uses a MOSFET to do current detection and logic to "fuse" a channel, but remember to set them to a reasonable value so it doesn't burn up wires in case of a short. With cyclones pulling about 0.5 amps...I have my fuses set at 2.5 amps.

    A little info:

It looks like the DD Single Color Rock Lights are 10W/1,000lm/0.75A on high mode while the KC Cyclones are 5W/600lm/0.4A. I forgot to ask what the DD ratings are for low mode but the website says they use 3W in low.

I didn't ask about the RGBW versions mainly because I don't want my truck to look like the Hypnotoad. I believe that I saw in one of the DD videos that the RGBW versions won't put out as much light as the single color and will not have the dual power mode (although you can control the RGBW brightness with the controller or app.)

The DD lights are also a little bigger (2.4" square-ish vs 2.2" round.) The single color version is $9/pod (MSRP) more than the Cyclone; the RGBW version is $19/pod more.

I know it's been a while since this picture was posted, but did anybody else but me notice something possibly wrong with the wiring of this fuse block? Fuses are normally run "in line" on the positive side and that's not what I'm seeing here if I'm seeing the positive (red) and negative (black) wires correctly.
