    Looking for some input on how to go about resurfacing these rims. I have corrosion that caused paint chipping. No scratches or curb rash though. Anyone know of a good method for clearing the corrosion and leveling out the paint for a fresh coat of primer and paint? Might just take these into a shop but always try to do it myself if not too bad.

    This fall I fixed up some Lexus wheels to run on my brother-in-laws Tacoma.

    They looked like yours when we started, a bit of prep with a sanding flap wheel on a drill and a few dremel bits and we got any of the flaking finish off and cleaned up the corrosion.
    Sanding those spots clean and then a few coats of primer and wheel paint and they are good for snow duty;

    You can always find a local shop that powder coats? A bit pricey but it will def last.

    Wait until it’s time to replace the tires if the beads are holding air. Then break the tires and wheels down, take the wheels to media blast, clean with acetone, and then primer and paint. That’s process has given me the best results.

    ive used different paints and primers and they’ve held up well as long as the right prep is done and harsh chemicals aren’t used to clean them. My current favorite is vht paint especially their bake on clear.

    I had my FJ wheels "remanufactured" by AWRS a few years ago and the results were great. All I did was drop off my truck and pick it up 2 days later. The price they quoted included everything to get the job done, including minor repairs. You can also choose from hundreds of colors. I choose black, so my OEM wheels look more like aftermarket. AWRS is a nationwide franichise, so there's probably one close to you. They do a lot of work for auto dealerships. 3 years ago it cost me $625 for all four, and that was with a sale price at the time. They run specials at different times of the year, so check out their website.
