Colors and brightness. I have the meso dual color ones, I work night shift so I like the option to have them set to red most of the time but still have the ability to switch them to white and unleash the sun. The stock incandescent bulbs were horrible when trying to find something in the truck at night and left so much to be desired.

Honestly never thought of having the color changing ones. That’s smart. I just prefer to have them bright in general so I swapped all of mine for white.

Most of you have seen this a hundred times.

Added BD Squadron-Rs today along with some Sequential signals. Figure one is function over form, the other is form over function. Massive differences between the factory LED fogs and these BD units. Really pleased with the turn out. Still not sire if I've aimed them properly. Nobody flashed me on my way home.

Yup, they do. The flat sides of the bulbs that house the LEDs are on the right and left side - if that makes sense? As opposed to all around. I’m very happy with the improved lighting and that the cutoff didn’t change much at all.

Things got a little more festive. Put on some Christmas lights from Home Depot on the DiamondBack cover.

Showed the new fogs on my last post.
But this night shot was pretty cool, so I figured I’d throw it up.

How's that Honeyseal holding up? I just spoke with a rep from Edmonton and looking to book my truck in at their Oakville location.

    LOL caught that did ya?
The fogs was a impulse buy, 10 bucks on Amazon.
Read a lot on life spans of the halogens and that’s why they didn’t go with LED from the factory.
But now more than likely, I’m going to get LEDs for the mains as well if I can find a good pair, that aren’t too ridiculous in price.
Next up are what are called, adaptive headlights, and that they will illuminate when you’re in a dark area and if a oncoming car comes it senses and dims accordingly.
Why the hell didn’t they come up with this a long time ago? Great freaking idea.

@Canadian Caber commented on this post as well and said that they acted as a barrier to him, I would agree but not a deal breaker for me. Mainly it just drags/rubs against my pant leg getting in/out. My wife is 5' 4" and they do help her getting in, and will do so even more when I upgrade the suspension. Another reason for me getting these was to help access a future roof rack and they do offer a little door ding protection.

    Hope that helps.

I would say "yes". :D I did not have to drill or alter them in in way.
The brackets that attach to the undercarriage do allow for minor adjustments where they connect to the running board and I had to fiddle with those until everything aligned.
Once I figured out the 1st one the 2nd one went on in half the time. Having a 2nd set hands would help but I managed alone ok. Just keep all the bolts loose until you have them all in.
The reason I opted for the 2nd Gen version is they are about 1/3 of the price of the newer 3rd Gen version. These are made of steel and I believe the 3rd Gens are aluminum, since I live in the southeast salt/corrosion isn't a big concern for me.

    Whichever you choose, good luck.
