Thinking about selling my rig as my kids are getting too big and it's a challenge to fit us all in for trips anymore. Looking like a full size is a must. My question is what is a real world idea of what this would be worth private sale?
    2018 TRD offroad package
    technology package and all that
    Clazzio leather seats
    lots of interior meso stuff
    king front and back
    Icon UCA's and leafs
baja designs fogs and pro ditch lights
    CBI skids
    RCI sliders
    Snugtop sportsman package shell
    full prinsu racks
SCS 16" and cooper xlt 285/75/16
tons of other little ad ons, mall crawler, fire roads and mammoth snowboard trips at best. Not a scratch on the skids or anything. Really great shape and 55K miles. I have all stock parts minus stock wheels/tires. image1.jpg image0.jpg

People are cheap, so you’ll probably have a hard time getting anything over KBB, even with all the add ons. Especially with the market starting to cool down.

It's probably worth more if you convert it back to stock and sell the aftermarket stuff separately. You might get lucky with the right buyer though. Aim a little high and see who bites?

    Mods are worth $0

Heck they will probably hurt you cause people don’t have the same preferences. My recommendation is out it back to stock as you possibly can and sell the mods separately.

As others here have mentioned, I would get it back to stock, especially getting rid of that lift, and I think you will get more for it then. But, having said all that, don't even bother with the so called "book value". You have to look at the market in your area. But if it was back to stock, including the stock wheels, I would also say it should get somewhere in the mid-uppers $30s, at the very least. If it is located in a big area, such as LA, SF, etc, then you can probably get more. But the problem with selling a vehicle yourself and asking that kind of money, most people don't have that, and are going to have to finance. It gets complicated! So since most dealers now would salivate at the chance to get your truck, check them out, and check out more that one. If you can get somewhere close to the mid-30s or so, then take it. I don't understand though, regarding your kids being too big, I mean, how BIG are they or do you just have a lot of kids? I mean, it is a 4-door truck, so I was just wondering! Good luck!

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
Check the ads in your area to see what others are asking. Start a bit high and negotiate. You can never negotiate upwards.
It's only worth what someone is willing to and able to pay.

Model year, mileage and a clean history are all that factors in really.

Unless you find the needle in a haystack private buyer you're way better pulling everything you can and selling separate.

Coming from a very recent Tacoma buyer, if I ran across this listing, all the mods would have caused me to keep looking.

Not what you want to hear I know, but mods not only don’t add value, but often scare off potential buyers. That said, it doesn’t hurt to list it slightly over the going rate and see if you get lucky,,,, if you don’t want to strip it.

I appreciate it. I'm aware my mods aren't going to increase anything unless it's a one off person who wanted those exact things. My wonder is how much more I could get private sale over trade in. Trade in so far has varied between $29K-$33K. That market has dropped substantially and is still plummeting. I may break it down to just the truck with the kings still on and sell/trade as is and recoup a few grand off the cap and other parts.

oh yeah!! Defiantly list the topper! Sorry, I missed that part. You can sell it quick for thousands,,, much more than most buyers would pay on the truck.

I think at $35K I would jump. Few months ago that number was $40K.

If I was buying I’d be into the upgraded suspension/mods if they are done right, but I’d still try and work a deal based on Kbb with you plus a bit more.
