Not sure I would keep my insurance and registration in there with an extra gun....Might make for a very interesting LE stop....?

I work in the construction industry and have to make trips to jobsites a few times a month, can't carry on-site and if caught I would get tossed off the jobsite permanently. If I know ahead of time I could just leave my gun at home, but I don't....Sometimes I'm at the office and get a call to go to the jobsite. I have an under the seat safe on a cable now but a console safe is one of the options I have requested on my allocation.

Thanks Brian for the good advice. I have thought of that often. I always carry my gun on my person when I am driving. I work from home so I don't drive much. I have only stored a gun in it one or two times. And things have gotten so sketchy as of late I carry no matter what now.

The Toyota safe is just a Console Vault. You can buy one on their website for $50 cheaper. Takes 5 minutes to install.

A few, mainly added skids. I like leaving the suspension alone. I drive forest service dirt roafs in the desert west extremely extremely too fast. Toyota nailed this suspension going 65 across desert terrain. Changing it is dumb unless you have a specific need like crawling or mud.
It's safe to say, the thing is too small to be useful.

It’s small, but large enough to secure my daily. It meets my requirements for useful.

I'm going to look into small 9mm, and see what I like.

Mine holds both a Glock 43x (EDC), Diamondback DB9 (cycling Jersey pocket gun) a couple of knives and other random console stuff no problem. I do not keep my EDC in there except when parked at the airport.

    Walther PPS.

Not a high capacity mag, but feels and shoots great.
