I already did the “feats of strength “ , took the snow blower for a jog.

My grievance’s #1 to much whining #2 too damn old #3 to damn cold :annoyed:
Tied for #3 my county is trending on the weather channel :annoyed:

Don’t blame you, had fun playing in the snow here at 1am earlier in the week when no one was around.

    aren't 2 and 3 technically the opposite of 1?

How many desks/laptops did you break this year?

My biggest gripe at the moment... I'm sitting in my dinning room table with the laptop, I can hear and feel the wind slamming against the back side of the house. What has me irritated is the amount of cold air drafts that I can feel passing through the exterior siding and through the wall, it feels like a small fan moving ice cold air. No wonder I can't ever get this place to feel warm.. I spent a good amount of time and money on materials last winter hunting down blatant air gaps around the sill plates down stairs, it seems that I must have missed a few. Time to go back downstairs with a flashlight and have another look.

The woodstove has been burning at damn near 'over firing' condition and the interior temp hasn't moved about 64°. The heat pump was running nonstop when I got home and did so until about 30 minutes ago, when I switched it over to 'recirculate' mode to draw the warm air through the duct work. It's just going to be a cold night, just like everyone else is going through.

Self learned keyboard shortcut of the day- to make the 'degrees' symbol,(°) hold down the ALT key with the left hand and type '0176' with the right hand.

    lost count!

know anyone that has a FLIR thermal camera? home inspector maybe? would be eye opening to know just how many leaks and cracks your house has.

I've got the same problem with a wall and or doorway to my back patio of my house that's only a year old . definitely can feel a very cold draft from somewhere along this wall or doorway

Using my infra-red temp gun There's a definite drop in temp along this area . Even along the baseboards There's a noticeable draft

A little of this and a little of that.
    Good morning :hattip:

It is 9 degrees here with a wind chill of -6 degrees. Rare to see single digit on the thermometer in this neck of the woods.

Merry Christmas Eve to everyone. Stay warm and safe.

Good morning! 7 degrees feels like -11. We haven't been out in over 24hrs. Lost power a few times, fired up the generator, drank Rum, and watched the weather outside. Looking like I'll have to break out the snowblower today.

Good morning. Still -1 degree with a wind chill of -22. The wind chill advisory ends around noon. That will help some. That wind last night just cut through me while I was waiting for the dog to do her business, more like snoop around.

Seems, in bad weather, they take twice as long.

I agree. Just went outside to start the vehicles in our unheated detached garage. Of course the wind had blown the snow across the sidewalk and we have to go out later, so what turned into a quick job was about 20 minutes out there. That wind is wicked.
