Aftermarket LED Tail Lights

    I got some aftermarket LED tail lights for Christmas, and after some further research I’m worried they won’t fit. My truck has stock LED tail lights and it says these lights won’t fit my truck if I have stock LEDs. I guess I’m just confused as to why they won’t fit. To me it should just be plug and play. They’re made specifically for

    2005-2015 Tacomas so it’s just confusing on why they might not fit. If anybody knows anything it would be very helpful.

    I would just try them and see. Easy enough to do. I’m not sure if the 05-08 trucks are wired differently than the 09-15 but the easiest way to find out is to swap it and see what happens

    Don’t quote me but I believe the led and halogen options are the same dimensionally. The difference is the plugs. The halogen and led trucks came with different harnesses. Don’t worry, it’s not a deal breaker as you can purchase the other harness if you need them for not a lot of $$.

    Refer to post 33 and 34 in this thread for additional info including part numbers for the harnesses.
